They were indeed! Ah I missed your post there

They are great, I love that they're bringing a lot of traditional sounds and instruments back and yet still sound very modern and have massive appeal to younger audiences

I went to one of their gigs in Bristol last autumn in a pretty intimate venue which could only take a few hundred. This week I bought tickets to their next Bristol gig next year and they're playing somewhere 3 times the size

…I imagine they were great in a small gig…(…as they will equally be in a larger one and I’m so glad their popularity is growing…)…it’s the sort of music vibe I grew up with, having an Irish father so it has that mix of nostalgia for me as well…which made them an instant love when I saw them on Jools Holland …and they’re always a great listen…

…I think that Coldplay gave a great set at Glastonbury, Chris Martin really knows how to engage an audience, very polished and perfected etc…and some great guests also…they’re not my thing, though…I just don’t feel inspired or moved by their music…they’re not a band that I ever choose to listen to…but I appreciate that they’ve been a great addition to Glastonbury for their fans…
