We were never winning in Qatar, that tournament was rigged for a non-European team to win with that climate.

The Euro 2020 one I'll give you, he went too safe in the final and it backfired against a weaker team in Italy (no offense intended to Vanessa, as I do like Italy to do well.)

And there's been one iffy decision on a big scale that's been questionable that's gone England's way, given how England normally are treated by the Referees, we're entitled to one thing going our way, especially in a match where we were the much better team, just look at all of the stats that back it up.

There's only ever been two games where I think that Southgate genuinely ****ed up:

Euro 2020 Final, and the match against Slovenia in this Euro's, other than those two games he either achieves what I expect of him, or overachieves.

People need to remember what England were like before Southgate took charge.

And just to add, Spain have had to face.

- An aging Croatian team
- A poor Italy team
- Albania (no offense to any Albanians that might be lurking on the site) but come on!
- Georgia (the weakest team at the round of 16)
- A diabolical France team that needed Referee interference, own goals, and penalties just to get them to the Semi-Final. Talk about luck, nobody has been more lucky than France this tournament, yet for some reason they get a pass for being dire.

I'll skip Germany because that has been the only decent team that Spain has faced this tournament, going on form and not what the name of the team is called.

Georgia were playing good football and beat highly rated Portugal 2:0 before Spain thrashed them and Germany were favourites to win the whole thing before they came up against Spain . ..as regards France they were likened to England in that they were getting results despite playing sh1te football but everyone thought they would come good ..

As regards Italy .. they were many people’s dark horses ..just look at their results coming into the Euros !

are you ever positive about England Zizu? Saka has faced Cucurella many times in the PL

its one game, I would say Spain are favourites which takes the pressure off England, the English team have players with much more semi final/final experience.... I wish them luck,I think it would be great for English football if the women and the men both had Euro titles to their names :grin:

As regards your suggestion that I’m normally negativity towards England .. I am by nature a negative person hense a lifetime of depression and anxiety.

I tend to see the worst in everyone and everything .. it’s just something within

That aside , Saka faced Cucurella in the past wasn’t the Spaniard under performing ( in a poor team ) ?

He had a good end to the season and a game Euros thus far !!

Also Saka hasn’t been at HIS very best for a while if we’re being honest ..and he gets zero protection from the officials .


So that’s why I think Saka may have a tough match - Cucurella will be all over him

i think Spain are a great team, but they are not quite there yet in dominating matches. Scotland beat them and the array of talent that is in the england squad, makes it near impossible for them to lose. It's possible that spain run away with it and score 3 quick goals, but otherwise, i think england will get over the line

Yeah I tend to agree .. apart from the first 20 minutes of our opening game at the Euros and maybe 50 minutes against Holland .. we have been absolute pants … so the law of averages suggests that many of the , so far underperforming stars are due a good game

Portugal had already gone through so weren't even trying that hard against Georgia.

The only decent team that Spain has faced this tournament is Germany, where as England have faced Denmark, Switzerland, and Netherlands.
