According to Christianity you can repent at the gates and still get in, so I'll just be like " sorry chief genuinely thought you were fake, I can see that I was sorely mistaken so I am very sorry pls can I come in."

And the baby jesus will let me through .

Nah modern Christianity says if you're an unbeliever, you can repent as soon as you begin to believe - which can be at the pearly gates. If I'm at the pearly gates, then sure, I'll believe my eyes, and repent away. Baby Jesus died for my sins, after all.
