I don't know I don't work for the Australian govt, like I suggested I'd have said it was his convictions for violence that hampered his application.

Respond to a hypothetical? .. I can't say he wouldn't be allowed entry due to it infringing his human rights if he wasn't allowed to enter this country.
It won't happen, he is a citizen. However I agree with the hate laws in place to prevent the incitement of racial hatred that prevent citizens of other countries coming here for that reason.
That has nothing to do with human rights though.
