They're punishing the rioters, which is fair enough.
But what happened in Southend last night isn't mentioned anywhere in the news.
Also the guy who attacked a police officer during the vigil, not mentioned in the news.
Selective journalism.

I 100% could get on board with this......

There would need to be some exemptions due to some trades and hobbies but it certainly wouldn't hurt.

…news stories of the events in Southport and three children killed, I would say ….have taken the majority of covering in all news media’s in the UK…it’s all such an horrendous incident …

the police are always granted more time to hold prisoners without charge in cases like this so, there is no point trying to imply that it is unusual.

It's the same police force under labour as it was under the tories. Again, what difference is a government going to make in a month.

People are being manipulated right now by hostile forces whether that be internal, external or both. They are being led like a trained puppy by being fed stories deliberately designed to spark outrage and racial conflict

People really need to stop reading social media, because it is trash

Gang members have knifes hidden around the streets for easy access

Even when we see someone getting stopped with a machete you never hear of them being sentenced

You are never going to stop someone getting stabbed even if it’s not a knife they could use sharp objects

Why are people even attacking the police? They have the initial attacker in custody, and the guy who went to the vigil with a knife was apprehended quickly. They put themselves in danger at the airport attack and didn't let anyone else get hurt.

So what's the issue? All sounds fairly effective to me.

…anyway, let’s hope that the victims who have lost their lives doesn’t rise above three…so many still in hospital with critical wounds and some of those may be life altering…
