I largely agree and would boil it down to that I believe there's a conversation to be had - but there's currently no world in which to have these conversations. Not in public view, anyway.

In this case I agree that there maybe should have been more thought given, weight wise? I don’t watch boxing so don’t know the ins and outs.

If it comes down to this ACTUAL case I'm far more hard line when it comes to the basics: I don't think combat sports should be a thing. Full stop. I ppreciate that there's risk in any sport but any sport where the primary intent is to cause physical damage to each other should have been left in the Colosseum. So ultimately I don't think the gender, weight category, or anything else SHOULD be the focus... they just shouldn't be doing it. However while the world is still insisting that there's merit in it and wants to continue... the focus needs to be on it being done as safely as possible, not as inclusively as possible. In a nutshell.
