i think it's the fact that everyone was saying that labour would need to raise funds somehow to fund their plans and Starmer obfuscated at a minimum on what would come down the road with a labour government. I'm not even saying that the tories wouldn't have done exactly the same, but it's treating the public like fools. In fact, if labour had said upfront that they were going to cut the fuel allowance for pensioners before the election, there is a pretty strong possibility they may not have won
