Bend the knee as in fold to intimidation and do something he doesn’t agree with against his will, not physically bend the knee, which is literally what you’re suggesting should happen to him, either he goes against his beliefs and his freedoms or he should lose his job because weirdos hate people not singing a stupid song

It's part and parcel of the job, he must have known that. If he feels that strongly he shouldn't have taken the job then? He wants the money and the privilege.
