It's a bit weird at the start, not berceuse it's actually weird, but in the days of over production, it was made so cheaply and is so character focussed that it's a bit jarring. It does have violence throughout because that's his job, but it definitely becomes more about his family life with his disabled brother, his friends, and his young daughter.
