I’d left home and was living as an independent adult before I was her age. I can make allowances for youth and over-excitement, but all I can see is immaturity and attention-seeking in Lily. But maybe I’m a harsher judge of character.

In contrast though, I think even people with maternal instincts will have things that get on their nerves, and in a small space for an extended period of time, personally I can understand Emma’s response
