Emma, Nathan, Rosie etc are all saying that can see Khaled's side now also.

Thank you, that’s really interesting! And I agree, that gives a lot of insight into his behaviour. He definitely comes across as though he’s trying to be calm and measured to me, and it’s interesting that that behaviour is perceived as insincerity - it’s not a totally off perception (after all, it means he’s not letting all his emotions show), but there’s also nothing wrong with it, and more often than not it’s probably the healthier choice (unless he’s totally repressing things.)

I think your speculation at the end may be spot on. Even as a viewer I sometimes feel frustrated w him because I feel like I’m not getting to see how he really feels about things. (Obviously I’m still a fan though)

I wish they would include chats like this in the main show. Feel like we could really do with a longer main show so that these sorts of convos can be included

I think I said before that I wondered if the "fake" perception from Ali was coming from a place of accuracy. She could see that he was controlling himself and managing his emotions, and she thought it was because of the cameras, rather than due to his history and behavioural self management. So sensing Khaled is self managing was correct, but the reason behind it wasn't.

I wish I could remember who he was speaking to. I have a feeling it was Emma and... I can't remember the second HM. I am pretty certain it was Emma, though, and, for that reason, I am peeved that she nominated him for being fake when he opened up to her.

Yes I agree - I think Ali was correct that Khaled can be a bit disingenuous, but incorrect in thinking that it comes from a malicious place. I do think he wants to be very amenable to people and to come across as a good guy, and for that reason is not going to be totally authentic. I think a lot of it is just….he wants to be a good person and is learning how to do so, which is no crime. I do feel like he might be a bit insincere at times, as a result of wanting to be liked, but nowhere near as much as, say, someone like Martha.

I'm not sure whether he is insincere. He's been pretty forthright about his opinions on Lily and the issues with Izaaz so I don't think he sits on the fence with things. He was certainly fired up after being put up by Ali and Dean. But I do agree he mostly was wants everyone to get on.

I really don’t know! I suppose I feel like he seems to be holding back his full feelings/opinions a lot of the time, which might lead to insincerity. But it’s hard to tell without knowing what’s going on in his head. You’re right that when it comes down to it he can be quite direct about his feelings towards people, which I appreciate - but I think he would avoid doing so if he didn’t think it was necessary

I’ve always seen Khaled as totally genuine, kind-hearted and caring, and have never been able to comprehend the misunderstandings of him. I feel he has been so wrongly and unfairly labelled and judged.

We saw so much more of his beauty as a person and his authenticity in tonight’s show. I just love and adore the person he is.
