Something in their position, the producers would have to investigate and look for evidence for from footage. It’s the sort of accusation that could lead to involvement from lawyers, and not something that the presenters would have the ability to handle appropriately in a very brief interview.

If there is more to this, it will emerge in time.

I don't think it's good for someone to be called out for homophobia without evidence either way, so that's a conundrum the producers need to get a grip of now.
