You know, what I'm about to say may seem a vast over simplification but I don't think it is --

America hasn't fkd the world/politics. It's the Internet. It's just this. On a global scale. .

As for what will actually happen, of course, who knows. Trump most likely won't actually do half of the things he's said he'll do.

we will probably never know how influential musk/x was but yes social media and corporate media fear contributed a lot.

I think Trump will be quite happy he is out of jail and will make a lot of money and golf. The heritage foundation is likely to do the real work, which is more damaging than trump could ever be

Without wanting to speak for TS, I think social media's problems didn't begin with Musk buying Twitter. Social media has been toxic for discourse, sensible politics, and people's brains for a while now.
