I think it was Lily's way of showing she agreed and understood, rather than just saying so.

…yeah, I do think it’s real also…or at least real at times…maybe there are some of the times when she may exaggerate it for drama impact…but I also think it’s the ‘only learned way’ she knows of releasing any frustrations/emotions…and with the ‘meow’ moment in the OP vid…for me it felt very real and uncomfortable to watch ….
