I don’t know if she knows he likes her. Emma told her that he had a crush on her at the start, and she hasn’t heard any of the things he’s said about her. Based on his behaviour, though, I’d certainly suspect it if I were her!

I think it’s fine, though. It’s not like she’s leading him on - she’s made it very clear she’s a lesbian. (And hey, even if he was holding out hope that he might be a rare exception, she’s also made it clear that she’s a) in a serious relationship, and b) would never date someone his age). I don’t think he’s under any misapprehension here.

Also - I do think this is genuine from her. I think she means it when she says she’s really warmed and softened towards him. Is she probably also aware of the optics here, within the context of it being a game show? Sure, two things can be true, and that’s okay imo. I think they’re all aware of these things.
