It doesn't matter that she's the most self centred HM in recent years, or that she's basically just miserable, two faced, and actually quite hateful. She ticks all the right boxes, it's that simple. Like i said a while back, was watching L&L and someone on a the panel (no idea which "celeb" it was) said she "didn't really like Ali that much, but she's a lesbian so she has to support her". That's Ali's win in a nutshell. It's ridiculous, but in no way shocking.

I don’t think this is true really. Like I’m queer but I’ve voted all the other LGBT housemates out (well, I’ve *tried* to vote Nathan out…to no avail). Whilst we’ll feel some alignment to the LGBT housemates, most of us aren’t going to back them solely for that reason. I also would’ve voted Khaled for the win over Ali if he was still in. I really enjoy Ali as a person, that’s why I want her to win. Her being a lesbian is just a nice bonus. Plus, I’m not sure how much sway the LGBT community would have over voting even if it was the case that we unquestioningly supported our own - we’re a relatively small minority.
