normal to have security guards at dance classes, it's NOT normal for pockets of
unknown foreign young males to appear all over the country.

It is official Home Office policy NOT to tell residents.

"we do not disclose information about specific hotels which may or may not be
utilised by the Home Office to the general public."

It's simply outrageous. British taxpayers being kept in the dark about hundreds
of unchecked foreign young males being housed near their homes.

Tbf Christmas markets have been a big terrorist target in recent years, would rather we were vigilant about this

Apart from a deterrent armed police in somewhere like a Christmas Market are as useful as a chocolate tea pot. They would never be able to discharge weapons with that many people around....it would always result in civilian casualties.

German Police foiled an Islamic attack just yesterday

Be vigilant means if someone is driving a speeding vehicle at a crowd get out of the way. If someone is wielding a knife, run away. If you are not aware of your surroundings it's more difficult to avoid.

The message of being vigilant has been around for at least 30 years, so contrary to the thread title, it is normal, to suggest otherwise is plain wrong. Also, police were on patrol when the IRA were at their height, they were preaching vigilance then and that was 60 years ago

an imminent security threat. According to law enforcement, Al-G had taken
photographs of Augsburg’s Christkindlesmarkt and discussed using a vehicle

Given the hysteria in the summer with all the riots over misinformation I think it’s wise that the ignorant masses are left in the dark a little bit.
