BB1/2 going to BB3 from Bow to Elstree was a big change, and i hope we get another big change.

C4 relocated to Elstree for two reasons:
1) Bow required the purpose built set to be returned to it's natural habitat.
2) The show's popularity was skyrocketing and C4 was putting more money into better facilities.
From Big Brother 3 through C5's last series the exterior shell did undergo some changes as the house layout changed. Various aerial shots over the years showed additions of task rooms and "house next door" structures added on. Towards the end the shell was showing its age when rain storms would start leaking into the house.
Unfortunately BB isn't getting the ratings it once did, and ITV's version isn't exactly peak Big Brother. I was hopeful when Bovingdon was mentioned as they would have had the space and resources to build a purpose-built house, but I'm inclined to believe it will simply move to a new soundstage. If they do, I think it's extremely likely the house from the past two series' will simply be reconstructed.
I'd love for an entirely new house layout to be constructed just for something new, but going off of how ITV seems to run the show I think they're continuing to borrow aspects from the North American format while still keeping it "British" - including using the same floor plan each series. I think the days are gone where the network would dish out loads of cash for a new house design. For quick six week runs unfortunately I don't think it's in their best interest to overhaul the theme each year.
I have high hopes for the Network 10 Australian reboot though.
