…sadly with vapes, they were promoted as an ‘aid’ to giving up cigarettes at the beginning …and unlike other aids, they kind of ‘mimicked’ smoking, didn’t they…

…Paul Damon had smoked cigarettes for many, many years as well and had obviously just transferred his addiction with vaping but I would think that it would have all been contributory, rather than linked only to his vaping…I mean, I don’t know what his diagnosis and condition and what contributed etc…

Only a few years older than me.

battled with all sorts of additction issues all his life it seems.

can't say im suprised it ended like this.

his love island stints were a mess

and didnt really watch his season of BB as I think i was living in africa at the time or something but from the clips i saw he was a mess on that too.

He had a lot of addiction issues - to illegal drugs, prescription drugs and later obviously vapes and had been to rehab many times.

there is a big market in illegal vapes and anyone that dabbles with them is basically playing russian roulette. I'm just very suspicious when someone has a vaping obsession

In February 2020, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed
2,807 cases of e-cigarette or vaping use-associated lung injury (EVALI) and 68 deaths
attributed to that condition.

“These cases appear to predominantly affect people who modify their vaping devices or
use black market modified e-liquids. This is especially true for vaping products

Yes and the even bigger (potentially) issue is that if they're illegal anyway then there's no regulation on their manufacture, so even besides the drugs, there are most likely other chemicals in the mix that aren't allowed to be in "real" vapes.

Though I would suspect that even plain ol' vaping is more harmful than is yet understood.

The question was always "are they as bad as cigarettes" and the answer is most likely no ... ... IF people were smoking them like they smoked cigarettes - i.e. 20, 40 even 60 times a day. With vapes, an awful lot of people are basically vaping from the moment they open their eyes until bed time... all day every day... the equivalent of hundreds of cigarettes.
