I have decided to permanently quit this particular forum - I will miss a few of you for sure though I’m sure there will be many celebrating

My nerves/anxieties / mental wellbeing take a battering as I jump In and around all the different sections constantly bickering with someone or another so there’s really no positives to be being here
You bring a unique perspective to the Forum imo.

You're definitely needed, as are most members on this Forum.

Without hurting my own feelings, but I bring less to this Forum than yourself over the past few years especially (and I especially bring less over members like Kate, Joey, LT, Glenn etc.)

My point being I still have people that value me on here (which means that there are people that will definitely value your posts on here,) and ultimately do you enjoy your time on here? If you do then you should stay.

I just think I am too different than the vast majority which means that I am constantly in some kind of controversy or awkward situation

Most problems probably stem from me being autistic and just a different generation

Either way this place has a definite negative effect on my general wellbeing so it’s probably better that I just use the other forums where I don’t get any kind of grief whatsoever

Nah, just steer clear of Serious Debates, and when you do pop in just take it all with a pinch of salt. You'll soon realise it's the same people, having the same rows, and saying the same old things every single day. Don't worry about it.

As for the women in men's football, yeah they have been rushed in, and yes those names you mentioned in the deleted thread are awful and talk utter crap. They are just really BAD, same as Lee Dixon, Johnathan Pearce, Owen, McManaman etc. I think maybe you let it get to you too much, but you're not wrong. I guarantee you've watched more football this week alone, than say QB and Glenn have watched in a lifetime, so just ignore them.

Eni Aluko (who was) "better than the white boys coming up in the game" and gives expert analysis like - "Richarlison is Brazil's main man, he's scored 19 goals in 40 games, you do the math on that, it's one goal a game pretty much" Sat next to actual legends of the game, Roy Keane and Graeme Souness.

You're allowed to call out how crap any pundit is, man or woman, it's all part of the game. We've been critical of pundits and commentators ever since football became televised. Christ, can't remember his name, but around 20 years ago some commentator was pronouncing David Villa as "David Veesha" it was pathetic and rightly called out. Or when i watch MOTD and Pearce would commentate on the games with hindsight of the result and how the game plays out. 30 seconds before something would happen, he would "predict" it, knowing full well that's what happens, irritating af. And don't even get me started on Garth Crooks!!

tl;dr - Massively under qualified women have been rushed in, and for the most part talk utter crap. However, singling out women for talking crap in football is silly, when there have been, and are currently tons of men who talk pure sh!te too.

That doesn't mean that I agree with all of his opinions, I just value what he brings to the Forum.

Plus I do like him as a member, we normally can respectfully agree to disagree on topics, which is what I like about TIBB members in general.

I value yourself as a member on here too, as you ask a lot of thought provoking questions on topics that most people on here tend to avoid.

And again, I feel like that we both get along really well.
