I reckon he will be "dead" but the actor will remain, either a villain or "visions" (Cromenockle) or as part of the apparent time-jumping storyline with Julie (she'll have scenes with him out of time order) or both. I also think Julie might figure out a way to save him eventually. Unfortunately. Literally everyone prefers Jade over Jim, surely
