As in something which isn’t just generic and obvious. A little creativity is what gets marks from me.

I'm not sure 'valid reasons' would be well accepted. Music is subjective, because one person doesn't like something or finds it predictable, doesn't mean the person who chose it shouldn't love it. We all like different things as the choices so far demonstrate.
