Spoiler:

While I like both Maggie and Negan, their dynamic is simultaneously weird and irritating... I have no issue with Maggie never getting over what Negan did to Glenn, and no issue with Negan being remorseful about it, but do we need to see them hash it out FOREVER? It felt like TWD left it where it can only end up ... that she accepted he had changed and no longer wanted him dead, but could never forget or forgive and so couldn't live anywhere near him. The spin off felt like, all those years later, somehow they were slipping back to BEFORE the TWD ending .

Rick and Michonne... both could carry episodes alone back in TWD but something's off in the spin off. With Rick especially - it feels like he "forgot" the character, and he definitely forgot the accent wtf. He was straight up annoying for 80% of the spin off series, improved in the last few eps but that was it. And the sex scene is still one of the worst things that's ever been televised .
I agree about Daryl but it isn't only that that makes his spin off better

Spoiler:

setting it in France as well stopped it for being too samey, the attitudes of the people, the monestry, the architecture and scenery. It all helped to freshen things up.

Re: Negan and Maggie, yes **** me, talk about beating a dead horse. There is no way they'd constant have to spend time with eachother, it's stupid and annoying and surely no one wants then to be friends? No matter how nice he is now, he cracked her husbands head open with a baseball bat

Lmao yes Rick's accent was weird and he definitely forgot how to play Rick also, the storyline was a bit stupid and cringe at times but a mile better than Negan/Maggie

I did watch it but it seemed to me they worked hard on making the characters thoroughly unlikeable.

rewatching Terra Nova

such a shame this one got cancelled after one season, although understandable given how expensive of a project it basically was

Fear the Walking dead was sold on the premise that it would be about the days and weeks that formed the initial outbreak. That was true of the first episode...and then they skipped ahead to after everything has already collapsed. So it was just a lamer Walking Dead, ultimately. As far as a zombie show about an actual outbreak, Black Summer was an underrated piece of work. Not a masterpiece by any means, but lots and lots of fun. It was a prequel spin-off to Z Nation, which I didn't actually care for. But Black Summer was unexpectedly good.

Having really enjoyed the Nordic Noir 'The Bridge' and given it 10/10, I'm half way through another Danish/Swedish drama, The Killing. Loving it so far.

…I binged Am I Being Unreasonable/season 2….I hadn’t realised that it had been released until yesterday…I really didn’t rate it at all and struggled to keep interest…/…sad because the first season and storyline were so good and I’m such a Daisy May Cooper fan…

…I watched Towards Zero…a nice little 3 part Agatha Christie, which ticked along nicely as Agatha Christie tends to…

I watched the 2021 miniseries Deceit, about the honeytrap sting that resulted in the false charge of a man for the Rachel Nickell murder. It was quite interesting and they did a good job of packing a lot of info into just four episodes.

He is really good and so is the kid. Wonder if this will get some BAFTA noms. Wouldn't be surprised. Don't know if it can get Emmy noms but then Baby reindeer did so we never know

Inheritance. Nice BBC drama

Spoiler:

Although I hate when after all the suspense during the show, the murderer is someone nobody cares about. It ruins it a bit

Realised I never finished Gavin and Stacey lol. I started Yellowstone but finding it a bit slow. Been advised to begin with 1883.

Today I am starting Bloodline because of Kyle Chandler's fine ass. Let's hope I like it. It won an Emmy.

I love Kyle because I love Friday night lights. He was brilliant in it

If you like The Affair with Joshua Jackson, you'll enjoy Bloodline. It's similar in some ways @Ammi

…I’ve started to watch it, I’m not sure which episode I’m on actually…I kind of agree that it’s top tier…(…I didn’t watch the Affair btw but I know Joshua Jackson from his Dawson’s Creek days…)…but I’m also kind of thinking, where is it going to go for three seasons…when we already know the ‘secret’ of the past involving Danny and we’ve also been given a reveal of the future as well, hmmmmmm….loving the characters though….but I’m not sure that it’ll all sustain interest for me for three seasons…

I would definitely recommend the affair. It's so uniquely done by the way it offers different perspectives of events that have passed.

As for Bloodline it's still holding my interest as to how they got to that point. I'm on Ep 12!!! That family

…I’ll check out The Affair as well, I’m a Joshua Jackson fan from his Dawson’s Creek days and he was more recently in Little Fires Everywhere…have you watched that, CeeCee…you’ll love it, I think and it’s also Kerry Washington who I know you’re a huge fan of…

…so with Bloodline…?..I finished the first season a few days ago….loved it…!!!!!!!….the storyline was pretty terrific…. but I’m struggling a bit with the second season as the first season felt more like a complete beginning and end story…now it’s just feeling a bit flat and I absolutely can’t see where a third season would go as well…I’ve put it aside for the moment to watch Black Mirror but I might come back to it at some time in the future…/…I’m not sure, though…it really just wasn’t working for me….the first season, though…excellent…
