Yeah exactly, it's a character so you can respond to the character, I reckon that's probably what Big Brother meant too when answering Mickeys question

It’s common sense that this is what was meant.

People are just very very quick to be outraged and triggered.

You are projecting what you want to be happening, that's all. All we saw was BB saying that the drag persona should be referred to as a she, while Danny out of drag should be referred to as a he.

Why?

It's just a stage act. I have no more inclination to pretend that it's real than I would have to pretend Spit the Dog was a real dog while Bob Carolgees was on stage.

Also, it's funny to me that the progressive left created the term and concept of 'triggers' and popularised it in the interests of safety and consideration now use it as a way to gaslight and belittle those that disagree with them. Just an observation.

No one is forcing you too and that’s your problem. You think they are.

Drag Queens are characters.

Yes, it's just a character. But why did BB make the distinction? Danny is a man, and uses 'he' as a pronoun.

In or out of character, using 'he' is fine and acceptable. Do you agree?

As I say, what actually happened would be the same as BB suggesting that people treat Spit the Dog like a real dog while Carolgees was operating him. We would all think that was really odd, right?

For years when I was a child I thought Lily Savage was a woman. It’s just a character. It’s not the big deal you’re making out to be. Refer to the character as a she or not. No body apart from you really cares

tbf though if someone asked how to refer to one of the HMs dressed as a dog for a task lets say, BB would probably say to call them a dog

I think a lot of people foolishly or ignorantly blur the lines between drag and trans.

You have idiot Americans who think drag show readings for children are worse than them having holes shot into them while they’re at school.
Comments on Danny’s stuff on Facebook are a hoot. Literal morons that think he’s trans.

Regardless, I don't think it was an order or a rule as such, I think that BB was just giving Mickey an answer as he asked and a lot of people would say she when a drag queen is in character. Of course that's my interpretation of the conversation but I think it's logical since in the L&L show everyone so far (including friends of his) have referred to Danny as "he" even when talking about him on launch night when he was in Drag

As I said earlier in the thread, "Look, the bottom line is that drag is not the same as trans. People conflate the two constantly. You can think, for example, that biological men should be kept out of women's sports and still enjoy a good drag show."

So, ofc I agree.

But it disappoints me that you refuse to answer my fair questions to you.

(this is where you say, "I haven't answered them because they are stupid", according to the internet argument playbook lol)

It’s simple, most drug ueens are called she in drag. Le Fil (a drag queen too) likes to be called he in drag. It’s just what some drag queens like

What question do you want me to answer?

About the dog?

It’s an illusion that most people go along with for the sake of keeping the character alive. No one is forcing you to believe the dog is real.

It’s like taking a child to Disney World full of characters. You know they’re not real but appreciate the character and the art.

OK, I give up. You clearly are not gonna answer in good faith.

I'll bow out now and let you get on with your day.

I figure it's like this, if you are a kid and you know a teacher and you happen to go to their school, you will probably call them their first name when they are out of school but Sir / Miss in school. All part of the job, same with drag queen's. The "she" part is just part of the job

…I think that Ru Paul has said …you can call me he/you can call me she…some drag queens prefer to be referred as she when they’re in character because they’re staying completely within that character while in drag…but not all drag queens have a preference, I don’t think…I guess that a ‘rule of thumb’ if someone is asking because they’re staying completely want to respect a drag queen’s preference is as BB said but it’s not a requirement…it’s much just a guidance, thing if you like…

We'll know more soon enough.

BB can't hide Daley's full opinion on Danny forever.
