I think this is key here - people are making assumptions that her partner would have an issue with it even if something is going on, we have no idea if that's the case at all, we have no idea what the expectations or boundaries of that relationship are and whether or not there's an issue with it is entirely their business.
I have an issue with Chris' behaviour because I find him emotionally manipulative and think he knows fine well what he's doing. I don't think there would be an issue beyond that. Her sexuality and the confines of her other relationships are really not relevant to anyone else... most people are just coming from a perspective of "well I wouldn't like it if it was MY partner!" and I fully agree with that... it's not for me, either, at this level - I don't think close male/female friendships are an issue and the hugging/comforting/messing around is all fine, the upper thigh rubs and thinly-coded conversations are where it goes "too far for me". BUT. That's my feelings and my relationship an there should be no expectation that other people's relationships follow the same "rules". There are no "rules".
I think people take the reaction to Mickey's comments as evidence that Jojo's partner would be against this but there's really no evidence of that. Mickey
made Jojo feel uncomfortable and made comments that upset her. That's the difference. She wasn't "flirting with Mickey" he was being gross.
