Just completed a tribute portrait to The Vivienne. This took a while but was worth it! So many textures and colours, plus the large size.

Oil painting on 24 inch square canvas panel.

…ahhhhh, this is such a good portrait, Jonny……you’ve so perfectly captured the glamour that was The Vivienne but I feel a sadness in the eyes as well and that feels so accurate too….you have an incredible talent, Jonny and this is a great, great tribute……beautiful…

Thanks so much Ammi! This was done really quickly over about four hours and with mainly four colours (Zorn palette) with a little bit of blue thrown in at the end for a couple of tattoos.

…ahhhh, I was going to ask you about selling it because he has such popularity atm, I’m thrilled that you have but not surprised, though…it’s probably something that he would love to own, himself…I’m familiar with the photograph/image this is from and your talent is so incredible…it looks like weeks of work/not hours…

Thanks Ammi - yeah it’s nice to finally do a patriotic Welsh painting with a twist.

Not atm - hopefully this Summer. Deadlines approaching that I’m completing some paintings for.
