I’ll explain it in a way you might comprehend.
Imagine two people are trying to get the most sweets. Trump got more sweets. So he won. He gets to have the sweets. But a "landslide" win would be if Trump got nearly ALL the sweets, and the other person only got one or two. That's not what happened. Trump got more, but the other person still got a big pile of sweets too. So, he won. But it wasn't a "wow, he got all the sweets!" kind of win. That's why it wasn't a landslide.
