Default Sport on the Telly this weekend !!
I tend to miss loads of fabulous sporting events each weekend simply due to their being so much sport played/shown each week

Soooo this can be the place for anyone to highlight something of interest that will be shown this weekend


It can continue week after week obviously ..

First off is international rugby union featuring the British & Irish Lions …

They play an Aussie / New Zealand Select in their last ‘friendly’ very soon at 11.00am on Sky Sports

At least those programmes you hate have regular slots and they don't shift and postpone some of the most popular programmes to accommodate them. Tennis is pretty niche, yet we have blanket coverage for a fortnight on BBC1 and BBC2. I guarantee more people watch Strictly than watch Wimbledon.

According to the internet

Strictly averages about 5.5 million per episode

Wimbledon has massive figures as well but I don’t know how you would compare them together

I don't know how you'd compare them, you brought it up.

The illustration talks about streaming but what are the figures for those who watch Strictly on catch up? And what about the soaps? They have a many loyal fans but the soaps are regularly disrupted for sporting events when they could stick the sport on another channel.

Strictly Come Dancing had this dance last year, which imo shows that the old dog still has some life left in it.
