Yes. My parents always aspired to live in Epping. Of course, being white working class who never owned a property till they retired, they had no chance. They watched the East End they loved handed over to incomers. I can trace my father's side of the family back to before the Great Fire of London, they lived in the Moorgate area. None of my family live there now. It's like a foreign country.
