[Appearing on Loose Women,
the Dance Moms star, 22, said: 'He's the brightest light in my life, he's the thing that makes me the happiest.' Janet Street-Porter then asked what her family thought of Chris, with JoJo revealing: 'Oh, my mum absolutely adores him. 'My dad and he are best friends, my brother just asked him to be a groomsman in his wedding.] |

And how on earth can someone be sexuality fluid? I'm genuinely curious about that one. ![]() And when they're on Reality TV Show talking about their sexuality/overall identity a lot, then I'm sorry to tell you this but she's made it the audiences business, so you're wrong factually to say that it's "got nothing to do with me" when she basically made her entire stint in the house be about her sexuality and the community that she represents. And it is not a weird thing to say that a 22 year old should know what sexuality they are, I honestly don't buy that she didn't know, but that's just my very controversial opinion, and I do apologise if I am wrong about that, but I just don't believe that I am. And just to add, is it really wrong to pull up a Housemate for potentially lying about themselves on a show where the public vote? I mean basic standards do need to be met.

Nobody owes anyone an explanation for who they fall in love with and it’s strange to think we have ownership on the path of their sexuality to the point of feeling betrayed if they veer from the path we’ve put them on. You’re holding them to an unfair standard. Love and emotion and sexuality and attraction is complex. |

At the time when she did come out as a lesbian it did significantly effect her brand negatively and alienated much of her old (but aging) base. Some of them were parents who were approving of their children's obsession with her up to the point of spending big *ss money to support their fandom. Apparently she had made a killing selling tons of Jojo-themed items to them (Jojo's bows, etc). Anyway, Nickelodeon weren't particularly happy with having to deal with working around that. Edit: She did seem to blame the LGBT community for pressuring her to hold to one label over another. It's in one of my recaps of her post-BB interviews... I'd have to go find it... Re: Her ongoing brand/rebrand; Her sexuality and her relationships have been such a big part of her professional persona, in both her music and her online presence, it's likely impossible to separate "normal Jojo" from total fiction. So I agree there is some overlap as to why she may push one label over another, but I don't think it's for the reasons we are being told. (emotionally fragile child star, etc) For example: Her ignorance due to her sheltered child star past I think is more fiction than not. She's tried to model her style and business from her DM days. She even opened a dance school with her Mom that used methods very close to Abby's. It had similar reviews and complaints like the school Abby had run that were considered abusive and yet she was allegedly purported to be one of Abby's biggest victims if going by viral videos and the way the fans speak of her. She has been leaning into that without going so far to alienate her Mom or Abby from her brand. There may be actual fallout later that does connect back to those events later on that might reflect the actual damage to her psyche, but I also think she's choosing to play up those childhood experiences as part of a brand, especially the worst bits that went viral on the internet to play up her persona. She's not very choosy as to which parts of her personality and personal life are openly monetized. When I was writing commentary on one of her interviews (I think it was with Nick Viall), I had a good laugh because she slipped during one of her self-discovery tangents about how her experience in BB had reflected so strongly upon her and transformed her and taught her all these important things about her past and how she's now learned to see differently, etc... but then immediately almost as if in the same thought, she announced a new song and said "Oh, and that's why I did this song" (Yes, like that)... as if the song had been written just for that big moment. That was a huge slip and showed just how methodical even her organic moments of "self-discovery" play a huge role in how she conducts her brand and markets herself. So yeah, that suggested to me to not really trust much of what comes out of Jojo's mouth and that it's likely really a waste of time trying to figure out what is or isn't fictional with her at any moment... especially if it's something she's actively milking on her Tiktok, etc, taking advantage of the fact people are addicted to knowing what happens with her weird brand next... Jojo has made some Homophobic people believe in that stereotype that being a Lesbian is "flexible" which I personally don't like seeing on the Internet, especially when they start taking the piss out of those of us who were having her back against Mickey. What Mickey said was bad, I said it at the time and I still standby it now. I'm just disappointed that I believe that Jojo possibly played the public. It would depend on the age of the straight person, and if they were talking about being straight being such an important part of their identity, like Jojo did do in her series, plus she's in her 20's, she's not a teenager trying to understand her sexual preferences. Fair point, if you don't mind me asking, how old were you (roundabouts) when you were confident about your sexuality? I understand it's a personal question, so fair enough if you don't want to answer it. I said it's factually wrong for you to say that I can't comment about her possibly deceiving the public, when the whole point of Big Brother is discussing everything that they bring to the table. Yes it's not a fact that my opinion is correct, but going by your logic what proof do you have that she wasn't lying on the Show? Or to put the other point out there, what's to say that she's not lying now? After all we know that more conservative (not the party) viewpoints are becoming more mainstream, especially amongst young men and she could be trying to tap into that market. Now after saying all of this, do I think that Jojo is some evil entity that nobody should like? No, but do I trust anything that she says about herself at this point? Tbh no. And I can't speak about love in a romantic sense as I've never experienced that, thankfully after seeing Rylie on BBUSA this season. So I will take your word on it being complex. Attraction isn't really that complex though I believe. Because as shallow as it is to say, it's do you think that the other person is physically attractive or not.

And just to clarify to any Jojo fans on here, I honestly don't even dislike her, I've seen much worse people on Big Brother over the years, including the international versions. But I don't trust what she says in the media at this point. Although I still trust her word more than Politicians and Footballers.

I just want to say thank you to @BBXX for a really fun debate.
We might not always agree, and I might not always put my points across in the best light. But I do love debating with people, and I do respect people that aren't afraid to say their opinions. Now I'll stop hogging up the thread. ![]()

I think regardless, I wouldn't say she's lied to manipulate or mislead but rather was super confused and said a lot of stuff that maybe she wasn't confident in to begin with. I respect your opinion and appreciate the debate ![]() |

Has she ever discussed her comments to Mickey Rourke where she claimed she wasn’t interested in men ( or something like that) ???
