Taking accountability isn’t in his dictionary. It’s an alien concept to him that won’t penetrate. It always has to be his autism’s fault rather-than the fault of him, an autonomous being whose entire personality shouldn’t be defined by being neurodivergent (which is a very unhealthy place to be in if that is the case). I’m sure Ali from last year didn’t blame every spat she had with Marcello, calling out his misogyny, on her neurodivergence.

I have never blamed my autism for my faults .. occasionally someone will ask if autism makes me how I am and I just say maybe it does somewhat as it seems likely it will to some extent
