…I’ve just started to watch Black Rabbit on Netflix…it’s good enough/jogs along ok as the two lead actors, Jason Bateman and Jude Law know what they’re doing, they’ve been around the acting block a bit and know the drill etc but it’s another story that’s difficult attach to any of the characters…I don’t know, they both feel a bit miscast, I guess…and the story seems a bit formula …it’s ok, though…

I find that a lot of netflix stuff follows a formula that just annoys me. Amazon and apple are much better at coming up with original content

…I mean, it’s watchable enough because the two leads are so skilled at their art and so watchable but the storyline itself and their characters feels like such a let down of having them both on the screen together…it’s a flimsy storyline and watered down characters…(…I’m talking myself out of continuing to watch it……I will see it through, though…)…

I finished my nostalgia watch of Martin Mystery.

And tbh it was a really fun kids Cartoon in my view, it had lots of stuff to like about it if you can take it for what it's actually going for, and not in comparison to shows like Game Of Thrones or Breaking Bad etc (although I haven't personally watched Breaking Bad myself), because if you're someone that's expecting that level of quality or style out of every TV Show that you watch then you're not going to enjoy Martin Mystery obviously.

But anyway, I would score the Show a 9/10, it's got fun characters, fun cases, and it can be a little creepy at times for a kids Show imo, the Season 3 episode that involved the Gnomes did creep me out, I won't lie about that.

The only real issues that I feel the Show developed was mainly in it's final Season unfortunately, it's not to say that it's bad by any means (every Season of Martin Mystery is fun to watch imo,) but Java being underwritten and Diana being over-focussed to the point that Martin isn't feeling like the lead in the last ever episode, are the flaws that I'm talking about.

I actually do like Diana's character overall, but the last two episodes were unfortunate for the character imo, I get what the writers were trying to go for, but unfortunately the execution needed a lot of fixing to warrant that ending for her character.

But moaning aside, I really enjoyed the Show, and I would recommend MM to anyone that might be looking for something similar to either Supernatural or the Buffyverse, but aimed towards kids instead.

And yes I do still like some kids Shows.

I have also been watching a Japanese Anime called Yatagarasu.

I've watched 9 episodes of it so far, and it is a decent Show tbf (much better than a lot of the Animes that I've watched recently lol) but I'm not a superfan of it or anything.

It's more at the level of I Parry Everything for me than (say) Skip And Loafer (which was really good, I was surprised at how much I liked that Show) but like I Parry Everything I do enjoy Yatagarasu to a point, but something is just stopping it from being up there with my favourite Animes.

I honestly can't even put my finger on it, it's doing a lot of the things that I typically like, but it's still more at a 7/10 enjoyment level for me.

Which I suppose beats the abomination Animes that I've witnessed a lot recently.

Ooh I was hoping to catch it at some point. I was thinking with Jennifer Anniston and my beloved Reese Witherspoon it can't go wrong .

…I haven’t read the review/article but I just saw this Guardian headline regarding Black Rabbit…

Black Rabbit review – it’s almost impossible to care about Jude Law and Jason Bateman in this TV misery

…the article…

https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-r...this-tv-misery

…I do think that Netflix and maybe other big streaming sites have to up their game quite a bit and not so much rely on single series like Stranger Things to keep their pull of viewers …and then give us so many mediocre series or even not great stuff at all/flimsy and thin storylines…with Jason Bateman and Jude Law and a so,I’d support cast, Black Rabbit should have been a great watch but it really didn’t even come close, imo….

He's such a puddy in this thriller. So frustrating. You will shout at him via the tv. This version of him would never survive in the walking dead

Good drama though

…I had to remind myself of my thoughts about it after I binged it……(…it was a bit forgettable…)…it’s easier just to copy the post…

The plot line was gripping, but the delivery wasn't the best. As a lead Andrew Lincoln could have been better.
I do not like the end. It was unecessary and a huge pothole
