Probably has loads of lines and bags under her eyes. She's just hiding them or otherwise she really would look like somebody's ageing grandma.

As regards her knowing Nigel, and being best friends with him, it's probably her little secret fantasy. Let her keep it if it makes her happy.

Nigel probably doesn't even know who she is.

My makeover roadshow
AFTER an agonising battle with breast cancer, agony aunt CAROLINE MONK vowed to help other women with the disease to look and feel better about themselves...

The pale-faced young woman sat huddled in the corner of the hairdressing salon clutching a frumpy wig. With her shoulders slumped and her eyes glued to the floor, she was the picture of vulnerability.

Suddenly a pink-haired stranger swept towards her, took her hand and asked if she’d consider a makeover. This whirlwind was Caroline Monk, the magazine and radio agony aunt.

With Caroline’s encouragement, a stylist cut the young woman’s wig into a trendy bob. Then a make-up artist transformed her wan complexion into a striking burst of colour. Staring at her reflection in the mirror, the young woman broke into a huge smile and yelled: “I want to go out and party.”

Virtually everyone in the room was in tears because at just 23, she had breast cancer and was going through chemotherapy. She later confessed that she never thought she’d look normal again

“That makeover changed her life and I’m not exaggerating,” says Caroline. “When you’re going through chemo and look in the mirror, you feel terrible.
