Before you listen to a member of the LGBT community on this issue please ask them where they stand on the mass importing of a bronze age fundamentalist religion into the UK from the Middle-East.

That’s a deflection. The problem isn’t imported religion, it’s the practice itself. Conversion therapy is abuse whether it’s done by Muslims, Christians, or anyone else. Pointing to one group’s involvement doesn’t make it less wrong or less dangerous.

And using faith communities as a shield against bans only proves the need for those bans. Human rights shouldn’t bend around religious comfort. No one should be coerced into changing who they are, full stop.
