When you’re saying that the way your conditions affect you is such that you have no control over your actions and behaviour, it becomes an excuse as much as it does a reason. And I know you’ve tried to draw the line between excuse and reason in the past. This just goes back on what you’ve said on that note. You’ve got to own what you say. You have no reason not to at 67. You’re an adult. A capable, functioning one. So let your reasons be reasons and not excuses to dodge accountability. You do have control, and capacity.
We’ve had this discussion before, but a lot of things with you keep circling back to the fact that you hover between using something as nothing more than a reason (or at-least claiming to) and using it to excuse your behaviour, which saying you can’t control your actions and the things you say does. It doesn’t matter how neurodivergent you are. You have capacity, high functionality and the ability to take accountability for what you say and do online. It’s up to you to take that next step. And I hope you do take that next step. You have no reason not to and I’m tired of having this same conversation with you. Your diagnosis is a lens, not a shield. Saying that it controls everything you do and say is kinda weak.
