I rewatched the whole movie fairly recently. I wouldn't call it great or a masterpiece, but I'd agree it's definitely underrated. It has a great and creepy atmosphere and the phone call scene is a crown jewel
moment in the horror genre.

I'm the opposite, give a psycho a chainsaw and I am IN! It's funny because the movie is so insanely tame when you compare it to the book. If the movie makes you queasy, the book would have you throwing up from all the graphic descriptions of violence and sexual depravity.
