I thought it was the chemo that caused hair loss..that's what my doctors said anyway..

Chemo yeah, and most cancers won’t. But I believe certain types of cancer can.

…some skin cancers can be the cause of hair loss when they damage hair follicles…and those could be in just specific places on the body…(I think…)…that Fey said that she had some body hair in some places…?..so maybe a skin cancer would have had to have been looked at with her…
