TX Senate, no, they're not up yet. US Senate, no one in our area. We have 17 propositions (

) up and most are Constitutional amendments (for State of Texas). There's also the local school districts and some of those trustee positions are up.
This isn't the biggest election, but with there being so many props on the ballot, I'd say it will get more turnout than usual. There's a a couple of special elections (one is US House) to fill Sheila Jackson Lee's old seat (US Congress/House) and now Sylvester Turner's former seat as he died shortly after filling hers.
It's very likely to go into a runoff because there's just that many people for it. It took me a couple of swipes to see them all. I'm surprised that the seat is on our ballot at all as we're no longer zoned in that district under the new map boundaries

Maybe because it's a "special" election the voter map is already spoken for. I don't know how it worked out that way. I just vote.
