on the phone call that he knew he would not win? Everyone knew Teja was going to bid more than anyone else had to ensure she got it

I have 2 theories

that with no eyes he cannot be targetted and he didn't want to give Caroline the opportunity to gain more eyes from him, or

maybe he is finding it stressful to have eyes like people find winning the lottery can be a stress....

thoughts?
