When I said that you correlate the crime with the race or sexuality and gender identity apart from when it's straight white males this is exactly what I'm talking about.
Straight white males, in your opinion, cause the most harm because of... maths. Simply because of numbers. Just out of coincidence. Because there is more than any other demographic.
Apart from that isn't
quite true. Because while straight white men make up 38% of the population and straight white women also make up 38% of the population.
So tell me, if it's just a numbers thing...why aren't straight white females causing harm on the same level?
You see, by ignoring a huge chunk of the perpetrators of sexual assault crimes, boiling it down to 'we know they do because numbers' you are leaving out a huge part of what should be the conversation. It's irresponsible. Just because we know something is happening, it doesn't mean we shouldn't talk about it. In fact, we should talk about it more.
Instead what you insist on doing is focusing in on the gay men, the trans men, the asian men, because focusing in on the straight white men makes you feel uncomfortable.
But it's a
man problem. It's not an asian problem, or a black problem, or a white problem, or a trans problem it's just a problem with men. And that includes white, straight men and so if we want to be honest about the safety of women and girls they also need to be part of the conversation, not a footnote.
