Could see that coming a mile off. Another complete waste of political capital for no reason. The No. 10 strategists genuinely have no idea what they are doing and then blame everyone else when they keep shooting themselves in the foot and having to u turn

Thank god for that.

It should never have been an idea in the first place, but I still appreciate that he didn't double down on such a horrible idea.

This is good, but obviously embarrassing for him. It's especially embarrassing because I believe he initially proposed this not because he believes it's a good idea but because he thought it would be supported. Kier Starmer doesn't bring in policies he thinks will be useful to the country and its people, he brings in policies he thinks will let him win a popularity content. It's sycophantic and nauseating.

The problem with this government is they are out of touch, they constantly refer to the 'Ordinary' person, they think we are all stupid and will just believe anything that comes out of their mouths like saying ID cards would stop illegal immigration and the one in, one out system would work... they need a total revamp of whoever is dreaming up these ideas because so far they haven't come up with one single workable policy that will actually change the country for the better

the thing is with the rate of AI progression, they won't actually need ID cards. They can easily use face recognition on cctv cameras, they can check the status of anyone paying for goods by card, they can check employees, they can check cash withdrawal terminals. These are all in addition to all the standard methods of identification. AI gives them the means to collate the data from a huge number of sources, so its easy for them to do

Politicians are like nappies . They should be changed often, and for the same reasons

She's trying to contradict what the party stance currently is.
