Iran is bad, sure — but it’s always been that way. Nothing new there. What is new is the state of Trump’s second term. Do you honestly think it’s going well? Because from the outside it looks like the country is unravelling on multiple fronts.

You’ve got ordinary citizens killing each other in the streets, Trump talking about claiming land he has no realistic chance of getting, the Epstein files dragging half of Washington back into the mud, and now he’s already planting the idea that the midterms — which he’s widely expected to lose badly — might be rigged. It’s the same pattern every time: pre‑emptively undermine the result so he has someone else to blame.

For a country that’s supposed to be a global leader, it’s hard to see anything but chaos right now. The whole thing feels like an embarrassment on the world stage, and the worst part is that it’s becoming normalised.
