I was reading this morning how Wales is spending Ł1.2 million on lessons about white privilege. I'm sure all those Welsh miners over the centuries, misused and oppressed by rich mine owners, working down the mines for 12 hours a day since they were 14, going home, their faces and bodies black with coal, to a small terraced house with an outside bog and a tin bath were just steeped in white privilege.

Controversial but I agree. I get the power of national pride but in practice ever greater devolution doesn't actually bring many benefits and causes a lot of disruption and complexity for the internal market
