Governments will continue to develop it. Russia and China won't be stopped by the people. In that circumstance we have to put more resources into AI than them to stay ahead. It's naive to think that anyone can stop it

As I've already said earlier, this type of thinking is why the world in general is in the mess that it's currently in.

And we're all guilty of it tbf (including myself very much in this) AI is just one of many topics where we have let it fester into society.
