Update - New evidence linking him apparently
https://www.independent.ie/regionals...475220342.html LATEST | American man (53) re-arrested in Mike Gaine murder investigation The American man who was previously arrested for questioning in relation to the murder of Kerry farmer Mike Gaine has been re-arrested this morning. Michael Kelley (53) is currently being detained in a garda station in Kerry and can be questioned for 24 hours. It is understood a warrant was obtained to arrest and question Mr Kelley in relation to the murder of Mr Gaine yesterday, and he was arrested at around 7.30am this morning. Mr Kelley was previously arrested on May 18 last year over the murder of 56-year-old Mr Gaine. He was questioned for 24 hours before being released without charge He identified himself as the man who was questioned but has denied any knowledge of the murder of the Kerry farmer. Former soldier Mr Kelley, who is from Maine in the US, lived on Mr Gaine’s farm, in the old farm house. Mr Gaine disappeared from his farm on March 20 and was reported missing the following day. Almost two months later, his body parts were found in a slurry tank on his farm, 6km outside Kenmare. Gardaí believe he was murdered in a cattle shed on the farm, and his body was then dismembered and dumped in the slurry tank. They said a man in his 50s had been arrested in connection with the investigation on Tuesday morning.
