[Smoke has been seen billowing above
the world famous Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi
as Iran unleashes another drone attack
on the United Arab Emirates.

Dubai residents have rushed to shelters with
sirens blaring across the country
as the
Iranian regime continues to furiously target Israel,
the US and its allies in the Middle East.

A number of alerts have rung out across Dubai,
Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, warning residents
and visitors to stay safe after the UAE confirmed
it was struck with a ballistic missile and six drones
following a barrage of 131 suicide drones.]

I wasn't trying to draw a comparison between the two conflicts, more trying to demonstrate that one man's illegal war is another's legitimate action. Iran hasn't tried to annexe Israel but it has spent years bombing it, firing thousands of rockets in targeting both the military and civilians, if it wasn't for Iron Dome the place would be a smouldering crater. This isn't something that's been happening since the USA bombed Iran this week. I feel like this has been coming for ages and the action by Israel and the USA is backed by others in the middle east - UAE, Saudi, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, who are all as terrified of Iran becoming a nuclear power as the West. Iran is a friend to terrorists, it trains, arms and protects them. Every terrorist atrocity in recent years has Iran somewhere in the mix. It was only a matter of time until they had to be stopped. It's unsavoury, maybe, but it was inevitable in my opinion.

I understand your perspective and mostly agree with the points you've made. The patterns we see today have been developing for years, and this situation didn't arise suddenly. However, I still believe it isn't our responsibility to intervene in other nations and remove a regime we disapprove of, and I've consistently held that view. This is especially true in the very volatile Middle East. While the Iranian leadership is indeed flawed—there's no denying that—sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you don't. I'm not convinced that whatever comes next would necessarily be an improvement.

Good. Iranian people deserve their freedom. They've been oppressed for so long. The murderous regime has to go.

Agree. We only need to defend ourselves if they attack our bases.

The Iranian capability to directly attack Israel or to develop nukes has been set back by at least 10-20 years by now. To put that into perspective, its about half the time the iran republic has currently existed for. So it's a significant milestone.

My feeling is that this has all been done to lay the foundations for and secure the future of the Trump Gaza resort and spa

The Iran threat will not disappear, but it will morph into terrorist attacks on the vulnerable public around the world. Even if a quarter of the current heavies in iran relocate to the rest of the world as refugees/ asylum seekers, thats potentially going to be 250,000 terrorists hellbent on revenge
