This isn't something that's been happening since the USA bombed Iran this week. I feel like this has been coming for ages and the action by Israel and the USA is backed by others in the middle east - UAE, Saudi, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, who are all as terrified of Iran becoming a nuclear power as the West. Iran is a friend to terrorists, it trains, arms and protects them. Every terrorist atrocity in recent years has Iran somewhere in the mix. It was only a matter of time until they had to be stopped. It's unsavoury, maybe, but it was inevitable in my opinion.

I understand your perspective and mostly agree with the points you've made. The patterns we see today have been developing for years, and this situation didn't arise suddenly. However, I still believe it isn't our responsibility to intervene in other nations and remove a regime we disapprove of, and I've consistently held that view. This is especially true in the very volatile Middle East. While the Iranian leadership is indeed flawed—there's no denying that—sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you don't. I'm not convinced that whatever comes next would necessarily be an improvement.
