Not quite in the sense that we can travel to earth and do all sorts of mad backflip and that, but the idea behind it could well be. And if it isnt, then it may be some day, with all this AI shite that is going on.

Indeed, the sequels ruined it for me to an extent (still loved them though) its a very valid theory IMO
