I'm a bit dumbfounded at people ridiculing the Americans. I mean starting on the ground with TV, USA has produced some genius shows:
The Sopranos, The Simpsons, Frasier, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld, Will & Grace, X-Files, Bewitched, ER, Friends [well, early on], Star Trek, Cheers... ignoring most of today's juggernauts: Heroes, Lost, Law & Order, CSI, FlashForward, True Blood, etc. Humour/TV aside, when you look at the music/cinema industries, and other fields: politics, science, technology, literature, art...they're certainly not stupid.
