X Factor's Jamie Archer loses voice after being struck down by virus Jamie Archer has become the latest contestant to be hit by the virus sweeping The X Factor House. The 34-year-old has lost his voice and is battling to be fit for Saturday’s live show. Jamie has been advised to save his voice and not to speak until then.
